Welcome to Woofers Dog Grooming Salon. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our services. By booking an appointment or utilising our services, you agree to comply with these terms. Your dog's safety and well-being are our top priorities. For this reason, we will not perform any grooming procedure that causes unnecessary pain or stress to your dog. When a procedure is irreversible you will have to sign a form that you are aware of the risks of the procedure. Example: Shaving of wire-haired coats.
1. Appointments and Booking
1.1 Booking Policy
Appointments can be made online, over the phone, or in person.
A confirmation email or SMS will be sent upon successful booking.
1.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
Appointments canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time may incur a fee of 50% of the treatment type.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
1.3 Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment, and a late cancellation fee may apply.
If you arrive late, it reduces the time available for your dog's treatment, which may prevent us from performing the service safely and to our usual high standards.
2. Animal Health and Safety
2.1 Vaccination Requirements
All dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and parvovirus. Proof of vaccination may be required.
2.2 Health Conditions
Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioral issues your dog may have prior to the appointment.
We reserve the right to decline services if the dog's condition poses a risk to their safety or that of our staff.
2.3 Neglect of fur care
We appreciate it when dogs arrive well-brushed and combed before their grooming session, as it makes the process smoother and more comfortable for your pup. This also allows us to focus on grooming rather than spending extra time untangling or cutting matted areas. If additional time is required due to insufficient coat care, an extra fee of 100 DKK per half-hour will be applied. Small tangles are acceptable but excessive tangles that prolong the grooming session are chargeable.
If your dog's fur is tangled, we will assess whether it can be safely groomed or if it needs to be trimmed for the dog’s comfort and safety. Your dog's well-being, health, and comfort are always our top priorities, even if that means choosing practicality over appearance. If you prefer your dog to have a longer coat, it is your responsibility to ensure it remains tangle-free and properly maintained.
2.4 Behavioral Issues
Dogs displaying aggressive or dangerous behavior may be refused service for the safety of staff and other animals.
3. Grooming Process
3.1 Style Preferences
Please clearly communicate your grooming preferences during the consultation. We will do our best to meet your expectations.
We reserve the refusal of treatments that we consider dangerous to the dogs health. Example: Too short a coat length - for example light coat breeds that are at risk of getting sunburned.
3.2 Matting and Shaving
Severely matted coats may require shaving for the dog’s comfort and safety. This is evaluated on a case by case basis.
Additional charges will apply for de-matting services due to the extra time and effort involved.
3.3 Accidents
While we take every precaution to ensure your dog’s safety, minor accidents can occur. In the event of an accident, we will promptly inform you and recommend appropriate care.
Injuries caused due to the neglect of the fur or due to the dog's behaviour is not the salon's responsibility. Any veterinary costs due to these accidents are at the dog owner's expense and the dog's own insurance.
The cutting equipment is sharp and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, there is always the rare possibility that an accident could happen.
3.4 Dog Handling
For your dog's safety, please ensure they are on a leash when entering and exiting the salon. This helps prevent your dog from accidentally running out the door when other customers arrive. A leash also allows us to safely guide your dog into the grooming area. During their stay, we will keep their leash and harness secure and will reattach it when you arrive to pick them up.
Dog kennels - At Woofers we are devoted to make the experience of grooming relaxing for your dog. Therefore we invested into building extra comfortable dog kennels to keep your dog safe and cozy when they wait for you to come pick them up.
3.5 Before the grooming session
Please make sure the dog had a walk before the grooming session.
3.6 Grooming Time
We cannot predict how long the grooming session will be, but we will call you approximately half an hour before we are finished.
We have general guidelines as to how long certain breeds grooming might take but these time ranges change depending on the dog. Dog behaviour, tangles/ matting, or uncovered conditions.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 Pricing
All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Additional charges may apply for excessive matting, aggression, or special handling needs.
Any annual subscriptions have a 2 year redemption span. Therefore it does not matter when during a calendar year it was purchased.
4.2 Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of service. We accept all major credit and debit cards, Paypal, MobilePay, and cash.
4.3 Promotions and Discounts Policy
Discounts and promotional offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated. If multiple offers are available, customers may choose the one that provides the best value but cannot apply multiple discounts to the same purchase or service.
5. Liability
5.1 Owner Responsibility
Owners are responsible for informing us of any known risks, allergies, or behavioral issues related to their dog.
5.2 Salon Liability
While we strive to provide the best care, Woofers is not liable for pre-existing conditions, injuries caused by matting, allergic reactions to grooming products, or not disclosed conditions.
5.3 Lost or Damaged Items
Woofers is not responsible for lost or damaged collars, leashes, or other items left with your pet.
6. Security
The safety of your dog and our staff is our top priority.
To ensure a smooth and stress-free experience, we kindly ask that dog owners remain outside the grooming area during appointments. Your dog may become distracted or anxious if they sense your presence nearby, making it harder for us to keep their attention. For the best results, we need your pup to be fully relaxed and focused on the groomer.
6. Denial of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to aggressive dogs that pose a risk to themselves or our staff. If a dog becomes excessively aggressive or highly stressed during the grooming process, we will contact the owner to collect their dog, as we cannot proceed with the treatment safely or effectively. As trained professionals, we maintain the right to decline service to any client or their dog at our discretion, at any time, and for any reason.
6. Satisfaction Policy
If you are not satisfied with the grooming results for any reason, please inform us within 24 hours so we can work to address your concerns.
If there’s something you’d like adjusted or done differently, feel free to let us know at your next appointment, and we will do our best to meet your preferences. You’re welcome to share pictures of your desired cut or style to help us better understand your expectations.
6. Gift Cards
Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced.
7. Privacy Policy
Any personal information collected during booking or service will be used solely for appointment management and internal purposes. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Woofers reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website or communicated to clients directly.
